Replacing missing teeth without surgery using partial dentures
When you've lost several teeth but healthy ones remain in the same arch, a partial denture is often the most affordable, non-surgical way to close the gaps. This removable appliance sets replacement teeth into a base that clasps onto your existing natural teeth, restoring your smile while protecting the teeth you still have.
The video follows the process from start to finish. It begins with Dr. Lauren Brammeier taking precise impressions of your entire arch, moves to the dental lab building a custom-fit partial, and ends with a follow-up appointment that confirms the fit, function, and esthetics before it's ready for everyday use.
There's more to a partial denture than filling a gap. Left open, an empty space invites the neighboring teeth to drift into it, which leaves the remaining teeth crooked, crowded, and harder to clean. A well-fitted partial holds those teeth in place, keeps your bite balanced, and supports the lips and cheeks for a more natural appearance.
Several types exist, each with its own strengths: traditional metal-frame partials, flexible Valplast-style partials, and acrylic options. At your consultation at Brammeier Family Dental we'll go over which one fits your case and discuss financing if you need it.
