Growing up in rural Louisiana and Texas, Dr. Lauren Brammeier values a small town feel and strives to build long-lasting relationships with her patients.  After getting to know Dr. Derrico and his team, it was clear that their philosophy on dentistry truly mirrors her own.  Dr. Brammeier is excited for this new opportunity and is committed to seeing out Dr. Derrico’s legacy through superior dentistry and exceptional care.

Dr. Brammeier graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2002 from Texas A&M University with a degree in Biochemistry.  She obtained her Doctor of Dental surgery degree in 2007 from the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston. After graduation, Dr. Brammeier moved to Phoenix, Arizona.  She practiced in a variety of dental settings including urban clinics, group and private practices, before owning her own practice in central Phoenix.

Understanding the value of organized dentistry, Dr. Brammeier served on the Board of Directors for the Central Arizona Dental Society and the Council for Membership and New Dentist Committee for the Arizona Dental Society.  Currently, she is a member of the American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Association and the Chicago Dental Society.

Every person deserves a healthy smile they can be proud of. We're excited to meet you and your family.

- Dr. Lauren Brammeier

Dr. Brammeier is committed to serving her community by reaching those in need and providing excellent dental care in a compassionate way.  While in Phoenix, she served as a Lead Member of the Organization Committee for the Arizona Mission of Mercy, an organization that provides free dental care through volunteers.  After moving to Illinois in 2015 to be near her husband’s family, Dr. Brammeier traveled with her local church group to Haiti for an unforgettable mission trip. She triaged patients in several villages, performed dental extractions, educated the locals on oral hygiene and distributed much needed dental and medical supplies.  Dr. Brammeier looks forward to more mission trips and the ability to serve underprivileged populations around the world.

Dr. Brammeier and her husband Michael live in Naperville with their baby boy, Rhett and two dogs, Dixie and Lambeau. She loves spending time with her family, especially with her step-daughter Eliana. Dr. Brammeier enjoys cooking, yoga and traveling to new places.  She is excited to get to know each and everyone one of you!

Letter from Dr. James Derrico

It is with mixed emotions that I send this letter announcing my retirement from College Square Dental.  For the past 28 ½ years I’ve had the honor to provide our community with optimum dental care.

I have come to know many of you as much more than patients, and I have always appreciated the interest you have shown in my family.  It’s a bittersweet feeling to be saying farewell to so many of you whom I’ve had the pleasure to get to know.  While, at the same time, my wife, Deann, and I are excited to start this new chapter in our lives as we pick up our Illinois roots and re-settle them in Jackson, Wyoming.

Our love of the outdoors and the beauty of the land has beckoned us for a long time as we vacationed there many, many times over the years with our three sons.

As a patient you may be thinking, “Who is going to take care of me?”.  I want to say that your continued care has been the number one priority for me as we have carefully and thoughtfully gone through this process during the past three years.

With a heart full of gratitude, love and friendship I wish each of you the very best! Deann and I will miss you all.

- Dr. James Derrico

As Deann and I are leaving College Square Dental, we are happy to tell you that the rest of the wonderful staff which you have come to know and trust will continue to provide you with the same high level of care you have come to expect in our office. Jenny, Laura and Leigh will still be cleaning your teeth, and Marian will be there to sit beside you and assist Dr. Brammeier as you have your dental treatment attended to.

With that being said, it is with much enthusiasm, excitement and confidence that I welcome Dr. Lauren Brammeier to assume the leadership of College Square Dental, effective April 23, 2019.

Her background, experience, and skills are well above anything I would have dreamed to follow in my succession. I encourage you to take the time to read her bio on the following page.  Not only is her bio VERY impressive, but Dr. Brammeier possesses a personality and character that harmonizes well with the personality and character of the team you have come to know at College Square Family Dental.  She is warm, caring, unassuming, clinically conservative and a perfectionist in her approach to the care she provides for her patients. It is with a high regard that I entrust your continued dental care to Dr. Lauren Brammeier.

With a heart full of gratitude, love and friendship I wish each of you the very best! Deann and I will miss you all.

Most sincerely,
Dr. Jim Derrico
